Day 1: Sunday: Athens
Upon arrival in Athens you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Monday: Athens
After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel for a guided Athens sightseeing tour to the House of Parliament, the Unknown Soldier’s Tomb, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Olympian Zeus Temple, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 3: Athens: Athens / Hydra - Poros - Aegina
Morning transfer to Piraeus port to embark the cruise ship for your full day cruise to Aegina - Poros - Hydra islands, lunch on board, return to the hotel in Athens in the evening.
Day 4: Wednesday: Athens / Delphi
A full day tour to the Archaeological site of Delphi that was believed to be the Earth center. Lunch en route, return to Athens in the evening.
Day 5: Thursday: Athens / Ben Gurion Airport / Jerusalem
Transfer to the Athens airport for your flight to Tel-Aviv. Arrival and transfer to your selected hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 6: Friday: Jerusalem (new City) / Bethlehem
In the morning, tour to the city of New Jerusalem, including the Knesset (parliament) and the Knesset Menorah. Visit the Holocaust Museum Yad Vashem and the Israel Museum. Also visit Ein Karem (birthplace of John The Baptist). In afternoon visit to Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity and Grotto of the Nativity, which was regarded as the birthplace of Christ since at least the 2nd century. Return to the hotel.
Day 7: Saturday: Jerusalem (old City)
Via the Armenian Quarter enter The Western Wall or Wailing Wall, (opportunity to appreciate the rites of the Jewish Sabbath) and then follow via the local Bazaar to the Christian Quarter, pass trough the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (the site of the crucifixion). Ascend to Mt. Zion, visit the Basilica of the Dormition, King David's tomb and the Hall of The Last Supper.
From the Mount of Olives enjoy a panoramic overview of Jerusalem, to the Temple Mount and the Esplanade of the old city. Travel along the Kidron Valley to view the Garden of Gethsemane and the walls of the city, visit the Church of All Nations. Return to the hotel.
Day 8: Sunday: Sheik Hussein / Jerash / Amman
Leaving Jerusalem, cross in to Jordan at the Sheik Hussein Bridge and continue on to the Ancient town of Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Explore the ruins of this once great city of the Decapolis, inhabited since the Bronze Age. Discover the striking monuments of the ruins including the Corinthian Column, the Arch of Adrian and the two enormous temples of Zeus and Artemis.
Continuation to Amman, the Jordanian capital, for a brief panoramic tour of the most important monuments. Overnight in Amman.
Day 9: Monday: Amman / Petra / Amman
Morning departure via the desert road to Wadi Moussa. Enter riding a horse, the first part of that narrow and impressive Canyon known as the Siq that leads to the ruins of Petra, the ancient city of the Nabateans. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Rose Red City with its spectacular treasury, royal tombs, obelisks and burial chambers. Late afternoon return to Amman.
Day 10: Tuesday: Amman / Madaba / Mount Nebo / Allenby Bridge / Jerusalem
Depart to Madaba, visit the ancient Byzantine city known as the city of the mosaics and see the famous Mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, in the ancient Church. Then, follow to Mount Nebo where Moses had his last sight in the promised land. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Jordan Valley, Jericho and the Dead Sea.Border crossing and return to Jerusalem.
Day 11: Wednesday:: Jerusalem / Ben Gurion Airport
Dependent on the flight departure time, you will be transferred to the airport.
