The Kefalonia Zakynthos tour begins in Athens. Enjoy the diverse atmosphere of Athens combining the remarkable archaeological sites of Acropolis and House of Parliament and the Panathenaic Stadium, the place from where the Olympic Flame starts its journey to the cities of the Olympic Games.
Fly to biggest island of the Ionian Sea; Kefalonia. A place with splendid natural beauty, exotic beaches and the picturesque seaside villages. Visit Myrtos Beach, which is considered among the most impressive coasts in the Mediterranean Sea.
Next sail to Zakynthos; a lavishly green island with sandy beaches in secluded coves where the tranquil waters are deep blue.
Day 1: ATHENS
Welcome to Athens!! Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel for check in. Free at own leisure.
Day 2: ATHENS
After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel, and you will be led to a guided Athens sightseeing tour to the House of Parliament, the Unknown Soldier's Tomb, the Hadrian's Arch, the Olympian Zeus Temple, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 3: ATHENS/ KEFALONIA
Morning transfer airport for your flight to Kefalonia island. Arrival and transfer to your selected hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 4: KEFALONIA
Enjoy a free day to discover the island, which has a rich biodiversity with a large number of endemic and rare species. We recommend visiting Melissani's underground lake and some of the beautiful beaches such as Myrtos, that has been described as "one of the most dramatic beaches in Greece", with its "mile-and-a-half long arc of dazzling white pebbles and was used as the location for the mine explosion episode in the film Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Also, do not miss the villages of Fiskardo or Assos.
Day 5: KEFALONIA/ ZAKYNTHOS
Transfer to the port and departure to Zakynthos. Arrival in Zakynthos and transfer to your selected hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.
Day 6: ZAKYNTHOS
Morning at leisure in Zakynthos. We recommend visiting the famous "Navagio" beach with the shipwreck and the various "Blue Caves" which are cut into cliffs around Cape Skinari, and are accessible only by small boats.
Day 7: ZAKYNTHOS / ATHENS
Transfer to Zakynthos airport for your flight back to Athens. Arrival and transfer to your selected hotel in Athens.
Day 8: ATHENS / AIRPORT
Depending on your flight departure schedule, you will be transferred to Athens airport.
