Day 1: Tuesday: Athens
Our representative will meet you at the Athens airport to escort you to your chosen hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2: Wednesday: Athens
After breakfast, the day begins with a scenic tour of Athens' neoclassical center: the University, the Academy, and the National Library. Visit Constitution Square (Syntagma) to watch the Changing of the Guard at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier. Next, we pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, and the Panathenaic Stadium. To conclude the tour, we will visit the famous Acropolis and the Parthenon. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the city.
Day 3: Thursday: Athens
After breakfast, this excursion takes you from Athens to the Peloponnese to discover a glorious past celebrated by Homer and the great playwrights. Our first stop is the picturesque Corinth Canal, connecting the Gulf of Corinth (Ionian Sea) with the Saronic Gulf (Aegean Sea). After crossing the canal, we arrive at Mycenae, home of King Agamemnon, the hero of the Iliad who led the Greek armies against Troy. You will explore the ruins of this prosperous city that dominated southern Greece in the late Bronze Age. Later, we stop at the Temple of Asclepius in Epidaurus, the most famous healing site of the Greco-Roman world. We will also visit the renowned Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its incredible acoustics and stunning connection to nature. Lunch is included; return to Athens in the afternoon.
Day 4: Friday: Athens / Mykonos
Early morning transfer to the Port of Lavrio to board your cruise through the Greek Islands and Turkey. The first stop is the beautiful and cosmopolitan Mykonos. Take the chance to discover this world-famous celebrity hotspot, with its golden sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant nightlife.
Day 5: Saturday: Kusadasi (turkey) / Patmos
In the early morning, the ship arrives at the port of Kusadasi on the Turkish coast. An optional excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus is available. During lunch, the ship sails toward the island of Patmos, used as a place of exile during Roman times. According to the Book of Revelation, this is where the Apostle John was exiled. There is an optional tour to visit the Convent and the Cave where St. John received the revelation to write the book.
Day 6: Sunday: Heraklion (crete) / Santorini
In the morning, disembark at the Cretan port of Heraklion for an optional tour of the Palace of Knossos, the center of Minoan Civilization. After lunch, the ship sails to the most beautiful island in the Aegean: Santorini. The town of Fira, with its white houses, narrow streets, and clifftop cafes, is accessible by car, cable car, or donkey. Due to archaeological findings, it is believed that Santorini could be the lost city of Atlantis.
Day 7: Monday: Athens / Airport
The cruise arrives early at the Port of Lavrio. Disembark after breakfast (served on board) and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
